The Chocolate Project!

By June 5, 2013 News No Comments

Care for some chocolate…in your stories, your advertising, on your TV screen? No doubt you have a favorite kind of chocolate, a favorite way to consume it, even a favorite brand. Chocolate is a food so delicious and so popular it’s practically an international obsession, and it has its own fascinating history. It’s been featured in books (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; The Chocolate War), and has been packaged and marketed to all ages throughout the world in many ways, including print ads, billboards and TV commercials. But how much do you know about where chocolate comes from? In The Chocolate Project, you’ll get behind the product and the brands. You’ll learn about how chocolate makes its way from cocoa bean to confection advertised across media. You’ll learn about everything that goes on behind chocolate packaging and marketing, like the conditions of cocoa farming and chocolate manufacturing. You’ll get to compare how it is produced by others to how it is sold to you. Then you’ll produce your own media and talk back to the chocolate ads. It’s chocolate in a different form…that you’ve never tasted before.
