One of the difficult things about being a parent in the digital age is figuring out what’s right for your kids in terms of media. Sure, there are ratings systems and reviews galore, but most of those are written by adults. It’s no less important for kids to be critics themselves, and have a safe space where they can share their views.
Enter KidzVuz, a tween-focused media and entertainment company dedicated to delivering safe, creative and empowering products to tweens and their parents through interactive media, mobile apps, brand marketing and live events. The website is full of videos submitted by young reviewers talking about episodes of their favorite TV shows, or what they thought was great (and not so great!) about the latest Hollywood blockbuster. Plus, their parents are fully involved and on board; we’ve already talked to one parent attesting to the load of paperwork she had to complete for her children to submit reviews.
Because of Kidzvuz’ focus on critical thinking about media, The LAMP is honored to be the charitable beneficiary of their Holiday House Party this year on November 24, which brings together 100 top mom bloggers and 150 tween influencers with top brands for an afternoon of hands-on fun. This year’s sponsors include Homewood Suites by Hilton, Nintendo, Hasbro, Samsung Mobile, audible.com, Spinmaster Toys, Dermalogica Skincare and more. Not just an expo, the KidzVuz Holiday Event is a test-it, try-it, touch-it, review-it on-the-spot day of play. The event itself is invite-only, but you can still check out KidzVuz.com for more information on how to become a reviewer and hear from kids about what they thought of this season’s toys.
